Forms for Parents

Does your child have a paper round? Do they have a Saturday job or work during the school holidays? If so, they will need a work permit from September 2019.

The Local Authority is responsible for ensuring 13 to 16-year-olds who either intend to work, or already have a job, hold a valid work permit. Legislation regulates the types of work and number of hours, young people can and cannot do. This is to ensure young people are working safely and that the work does not affect their wellbeing or education. Further information can be found on the Gov.uk - Child employment page.

Please note this does not apply for work experience placements
